Like a lot of places this July (2025) we are seeing hundreds of ladybirds in St John’s Churchyard. Here is one that decided to have a pitstop on one of my favourite flowers, Mallow.

At the beginning of the covid pandemic in 2020 people took to feeding birds using seeds that contained anything and everything. One of the everything was wheat grass and it grows on the garden borders in St John’s Churchyard. It’s rather beautiful.
